The SNU Library's new Innovative Encore Millennium Integrated Library
System with federated searching will go live at www.snu.edu/library on October 13. It's
simple discovery searching that begins with a Google-type box into which you
type an author, title, keyword, or subject to retrieve books, ebooks, dvds,
videos, and other materials including that search term (with photos of the book
jackets, table of contents, summary, and other information to provide additional
information). The search term is also linked to articles in Ebscohost, JStor,
Gale, Wilson, and FirstSearch databases. Just enter the name and barcode number
on your new SNU ID card and you can continue the same search through the
library's online databases. One search term does it all! Users can monitor
their accounts, renew materials, pay fines online, and rate the items they have
especially liked from home or in the library. Community users may obtain an
annual card for $10. For more information, go to www.snu.edu/library or call 405-491-6351.
