SNU's foals provide students with the chance to learn about the birthing process and early training methods.  Starting in 2008, SNU donates one of its foals to the the American Pinto Horse Association every year.  This horse is raffled off at their world show in the summer, and the proceeds provide a young rider with scholarship money to be used at the school of their choice.  In 2008, SNU also donated a filly to the Excel Auction.  This is a fundraising event held by the Excel Summer Camps at SNU.  The funds raised are used to pay Excel Camp dues for young children that cannot afford to attend camp.
