Southern Nazarene University is required to provide reasonable and appropriate accommodations to students with documented disabilities. Students who believe they are not receiving the appropriate services and accommodations have the right to file a grievance.

Students should adhere to the following guidelines when filing a grievance:

• Meet with the Director of Disability Services to discuss the concerns

• Obtain a Request for Review of Accommodation (RRA) form through ACE

• File the RRA within five school days to the Director of Disability Services for consideration

• Wait for a written response to the RRA within five days of its filing. [Disability Services will consult with Academic Services and legal counsel, when necessary, to reach a decision.]

In response to a grievance being filed, Disability Services will:

• Review documentation, current services and accommodations extensively

• Evaluate current services and accommodations

• Request that faculty provide the approved accommodations until the matter is resolved
