Horsemanship camp is a favorite of the summer enrichment programs offered through Excel. Six sections of the one week camps provide children ages 9-14 the opportunity to learn to ride in a safe and comfortable environment. Campers are matched with gentle, “kid friendly” horses to ensure a fun and positive experience.  Camps are in the morning from 9:00-12:00 and take place in June and July.  Campers learn how to do everything from grooming to riding.  Campers are also split up according to their skill level and experience so that they can be challenged regardless of their prior knowledge.  The last week in June and the last week in July is an advanced camp, reserved for campers with prior riding experience.  For more information on the Excel summer camps, contact Taryn Petty (405-491-6339).
