STEPS TO ADMISSION, International Students

FRESHMAN

  1. Complete the Admission Form (Sections I, II, III & V). Please return the form with a $35.00 Admission Fee to the SNU Office of International Student Services. This nonrefundable deposit will be applied to your graduation costs.
  2. Send official transcripts and/or education credentials.
  3. Submit TOEFL results. The TOEFL institutional code for SNU is 6036. A score of 173 on the computer-based exam, 61 on the Internet-based exam, or 500 on the paper-based exam is required for admission. For graduate and nursing school students, a score of 213 on the computer-based exam, 79-80 on the Internet-based exam, or 550 on the paper-based exam is required for admission. *If you don’t have a TOEFL, you may first enroll in our Center for Applied Studies in English (ASEC) at SNU.  http://www.snu.edu/intensiveenglishprogram
  4. A financial statement of support should be submitted indicating how tuition, school fees, and living expenses will be paid while you are enrolled in college.
  5. Submit ACT or SAT results if taken.
  6. Carefully read, sign, and submit the Statement of Understanding.
  7. Complete the following sections of the Welcome 101 Notebook
    The Welcome 101 notebook is available to you online at my.snu.edu.

FORM B: Medical History & Insurance
FORM C: Release of Information
FORM D1 or D2: Housing Arrangements (On or Off campus)
FORM E: Roommate Profile (if living on campus)
FORM F: Meal Plan (if eating on campus)
FORM L: Laptop Computer Application

TRANSFER

RE-ADMISSIONS

  3. A financial statement of support should be submitted, indicating how tuition, school fees, and living expenses will be paid while you are enrolled in college.

YOU MUST SUBMIT ABOVE ITEMS 1-6, BEFORE FINAL ADMISSION MAY BE GRANTED OR AN I-20 ISSUED. Please complete item 7 before arriving on campus.

APPLICATIONS FOR FALL SEMESTER MUST BE COMPLETE BY MARCH 1 AND APPLICATIONS FOR SPRING SEMESTER MUST BE COMPLETE BY SEPTEMBER 1.
