Modern Languages Department
Introduction
Today's technology has quickened our ability to move information from one part of the world to another. Our ability to transfer that information successfully depends on the use of language. Language, any language, is a tool that opens doors. Learning a second language broadens your capabilities as a student, increases your career opportunities, and aids in your personal development. The graduate with a concentration in modern languages doubles his or her chances of securing a position in any field.
The mastery of any foreign language consists of conversation, composition and the technical skill and background to converse with a professional person in his / her own language. These skills can be mastered through modern language courses at SNU.
