Faculty position in Nursing beginning August 2009; full-time; 9-month annual contract |
| Qualifications: |
- At least a master's degree in nursing; doctorate preferred.
- All clinical specialties considered.
- Commitment to academic excellence; demonstrated teaching ability and ethusiasm for student interactions.
- Evidence of professional activity and service in the discipline of nursing.
- Eligible for registered nurse licensure in Oklahoma.
- Commitment to the mission, vision and values of Southern Nazarene University.
- Commitment to evangelical Christian, liberal arts education in the Wesleyan-holiness tradition

| Responsibilities:
|
- Primarily, to teach in the traditional nursing programs, but possibility of teaching in the RN-BS program in the School of Professional Studies
- Participate in curriculum planning, student recruitment/admissions and evaluation procedures.
- Participating in assigned committees and other responsibilities in the School of Nursing and the University.

Open to all ranks. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits include health insurance, professional development, rank advancement opportunities, etc. |
| The School of Nursing: |
The School of Nursing offers a traditional Bachelor of Science degree with a major in nursing, as well as a RN to BS completion program for those who are already registered nurses. There is also a Master of Science degree with nursing education and nursing leadership tracks. All three programs are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing. The faculty is committed to the integration of faith, learning and living by incorporating Christian principles into daily conduct and the practice of nursing. Community service and ministry are given major emphasis in the curriculum. Additional benefits are collegial faculty/student interaction; a diverse student population; an innovative, creative faculty; and clinical sites in large, modern health care facilities as well as community setting. |
