SNU’s purpose for Pastor's Rest and Renewal program:
The demands of pastoral ministry in the 21st century are all consuming. Pastors and spouses are hard pressed to find affordable escapes--even for a few brief days--from the rigors of ministry. The Office of Church Relations at Southern Nazarene University has developed a plan that will give pastors a break from their busy lives to renew their spirit and energize themselves to return to their churches.

This will involve SNU hosting the pastor in one of four fully furnished guest apartments on campus (pictures provided below). The apartments can comfortably accommodate 2 adults. SNU will provide the housing at no charge for the pastor. Meals will be at the pastor’s expense (hopefully to be provided by his/her local church).

While on campus the pastor will have access to:
• All campus recreational facilities
• Library services
• Other services as required
• Complimentary passes to any special events being held on campus

Lodging is most available during the summer months but other times during the year may be arranged through the Office of Church Relations.

Discounts and recommendations for restaurants, entertainment and activities in the Oklahoma City area will be available upon arrival on campus.

SNU has no agenda for the pastor while on campus other than seeking to provide the rest he/she needs.
