Professional Studies

Welcome! Southern Nazarene University's School of Professional Studies began in 1985 and presently has over 1000 students a week working toward a degree. SNU is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools (NCA) and by the Oklahoma State Board of Education. SNU is also recognized by the Veterans Administration.

SNU provides an attractive and convenient way for busy, working adults to complete a bachelors degree quickly. Programs include Organizational Leadership, Family Studies and Gerontology, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Network Management (includes Microsoft and Cisco certification), RN/BS (nursing program for registered nurses to obtain a bachelor's degree), and Bridge (for freshman and sophomore adult students acquiring general education courses).

As part of the Professional Studies technology initiative, every student who enrolls in a degree-completion program (this does not include Bridge) will receive a laptop computer with built-in wireless networking. All of your curriculum is available online and can be accessed from any computer in the world with internet access. Our entire campus is wireless. In your classroom, at the library, in the commons or sitting under a tree, with your laptop computer you are always online. Not only is the technology a means to your education, it is also part of the content of your education. Imagine how much more valuable you will be to prospective employers because of the skills you will learn at SNU.
