Facilities and Equipment
The School of Music utilizes the Fine Arts Building and Cantrell Hall. Intimate Cantrell Hall contains unusually fine keyboard instruments, including the Shlicker pipe organ, a three-manual tracker organ with 35 stops and 45 ranks, housed in a beautiful, free-standing case of natural red oak. Also, a 9 1/2 foot Bosendorfer Imperial Grand graces the stage, along with a two-manual Sabathil harpsichord, providing students the opportunity to perform on some of the finest instruments in the Southwest.

The Fine Arts Building contains three rehearsal halls, classrooms, practice rooms, and a computer lab to assist students in theory, composition and piano pedagogy. Just recently complete is a professional level recording studio, with two control rooms, six isolation rooms, and the latest digital equipment and microphones. A MIDI studio is also included in the recording facility.

Scholarships
Interested students are encouraged to visit SNU and perform a live audition. The School of Music should be contacted for audition dates and times. Auditions serve for ensemble placement and possible scholarship awards. Music scholarships are available for qualified music majors and gifted musicians majoring in other academic areas.
