SNU's World Classroom

SNU Off-Campus Study Opportunities through CCCU

SNU students have the opportunity to join other Christian students from across North America to study, live and learn on "extension campuses" in international programs operated by the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities.

Since 1976 more than 100 SNU students have participated in these academically elite programs, earning college credits, and gaining experiences that helped build the framework for their futures as they practiced integrating faith, living and learning.

American Studies Program
Students in the American Studies Program (ASP), Washington D.C., explore current national and international issues in public seminars led by Washington professionals, and build a solid foundation for their futures through on-the-job experiences. Students enjoy internships in places like congressional offices, social services agencies, think tanks and cultural institutions.

Los Angeles Film Studies Center
Students at Los Angeles Film Studies Center in Burbank, California explore the industry within a Christian and liberal arts perspective. They intern in the heart of the film industry and develop professionalism and integrity while learning entry level skills in screenwriting, film production, and direction.

They study the Russian language and attend seminar courses on Russian culture, history, religion and current political and economic issues. They spend 12 weeks in Nizhni Novgorod and take trips to Moscow and St. Petersburg. In addition, they become involved in the local community and culture through friendships with Russian students, living with their "own" Russian family and working on a service project.

Latin American Studies Program
Students in the Latin American Studies Program in San Jose, Costa Rica study the language, culture, politics, history, economics, ecology, and religion of the region while living with a Costa Rican family.
