Biography

Dr. Tim Taylor has served at SNU since 1995. Tim brings a wide variety of experience to our future educators at SNU School of Education. Prior to serving in his present role at SNU, Tim served as a classroom teacher, counselor, and principal in Oklahoma Public Schools for 18 years, and also served as Associate Dean of Adult/Professional Studies, SNU Tulsa Center for 7 years.

Alongside preparing our future educators, Tim serves in the following areas: – Private University Representative, Executive Leadership Committee, Oklahoma Association of Colleges of Teacher Education – Oklahoma State Superintendent of Schools Advisory Committee – OACTE – CAEP (Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation) Board of Examiners – Ordained Elder in the Church of the Nazarene – Oklahoma District Church of the Nazarene Board of Ministerial Studies – Oklahoma District Church of the Nazarene Finance Committee – Chair, SNU Lab School Board – Adjunct Instructor, SNU Master of Arts/Educational Leadership Program – Adjunct Instructor, SNU Professional Studies Program – Online Instructor, SNU Professional Studies Program – University Faculty Marshal/Commencement Committee

Hobbies or fun fact: Sunday School Teacher, Men’s Bible study leader, walking, reading, Basset Hounds, and collecting vintage theology books. Eagle Scout; my wife and I, as well as our 5 children, are all SNU alums!
