Biography

My name is Shannon Gray, the Catalog and Collections Librarian at Southern Nazarene University (SNU). In 2012, I graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) with a Bachelor’s degree in English and soon followed my path into the field of library science, encouraged by my lifelong enthusiasm for books and learning. After working at the SWOSU Al Harris Library for four years as a student, I moved on to become the Assistant Library Manager at the Weatherford Public Library and remained there until completing my Master’s degree in Library and Information Studies in 2017. I arrived at SNU in November 2017 to work in my current position at the SNU Library. As well as handling the library’s print collection and the Integrated Library System, I also work with my fellow SNU librarians to instruct students about information literacy.
