[Bethany, Oklahoma] - The Board of Trustees of Southern Nazarene University is pleased to announce the unanimous decision to extend the term of President Keith Newman by an additional five years. This decision comes in recognition of Dr. Newman’s exceptional servant leadership, commitment to Christian values, and dedication to academic excellence.
Since assuming the presidency in 2017, President Newman has led a dynamic senior leadership team that has been instrumental in fostering a vibrant and committed community that upholds the university's mission of developing Christlike disciples through higher education. SNU has achieved significant milestones, including the expansion of academic and co-curricular programs, increased student enrollment and fundraising, and enhancements in campus facilities.
Dr. Chuck Fountain, Chair of the SNU Board of Trustees, stated: “President Newman and the SNU Senior Leadership Team have shown remarkable dedication and vision, consistently advancing our mission of providing a high-quality Christian education. Their leadership has not only strengthened our academic standing but also enhanced our community's spiritual growth.
