FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
[Bethany, Okla.] - Southern Nazarene University (SNU) is pleased to announce a new business partnership with Oklahoma Gas & Electric (OG&E) designed to expand educational opportunities for the company’s employees through SNU’s Professional & Graduate Studies programs.
Spearheaded by Dr. Emir A. Ruiz Esparza, Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs for Professional and Graduate Studies at SNU, the partnership helps make higher education more accessible for OG&E employees while they continue serving communities across Oklahoma.
Through the partnership, eligible OG&E employees can receive SNU’s Tuition Advantage Benefit (TAB), which provides a per-credit-hour tuition discount for any Professional & Graduate Studies degree program at SNU.
“We are excited to partner with OG&E in offering the Tuition Advantage Benefit to their employees and creating more accessible pathways to higher education,” said Dr. Ruiz Esparza. “We are grateful for the opportunity to support the dedicated men and women who work hard every day to help keep our communities powered and thriving.”
While not a component of the business partnership, OG&E employees pursuing a bachelor’s degree are also encouraged to explore SNU’s Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) program. Through PLA, eligible students may earn college credit for previous professional training, industry certifications, military experience, and other qualifying learning experiences, helping them save both time and money on their degree.
SNU’s Professional and Graduate Studies programs are designed for working adults, offering flexible online and evening formats across bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in areas such as business, psychology, education, healthcare, counseling, leadership, and more.
The business partnership with OG&E reflects SNU’s continued commitment to supporting Oklahoma employers by providing affordable, career-focused educational opportunities that help employees advance professionally while balancing work, family, and other responsibilities.
Southern Nazarene University, located in Bethany, Oklahoma, is a private Christian institution committed to shaping servant leaders since 1899.
