[Bethany, Okla.] - On June 12, 2026, Southern Nazarene University held the third of three Priority Enrollment Placement events. The events, held in April, May, and June, are designed to give incoming freshmen and transfer students a head start in preparing for the fall semester.
Attendees, who included students and an optional guest, had the opportunity to attend sessions covering financial aid and payment plans, residential life, advising information, and ministry opportunities. During the event, incoming students could select fall classes with an advisor, receive an official student ID card, complete a housing contract, and learn more about the upcoming New Student Institute in August. This year, SNU welcomed more than 400 guests and 277 students to Priority Enrollment Placement.
Jamie Tipton, Executive Director for Admissions and Operations, College for Undergraduate Studies, emphasized the impact of the event, saying, “Priority Enrollment Placement is truly a campus-wide effort, and we are grateful for the collaboration of so many departments and team members who helped make these events a success. Our admissions team continued to build meaningful relationships with students and families, financial aid staff provided personalized support throughout the process, and our Student Life and Student Success Services teams created a welcoming experience that was reflected in overwhelmingly positive survey feedback. We are also grateful for the contributions of our new events coordinator, who seamlessly joined the team and helped ensure a smooth experience for everyone involved. We are thankful for all of our campus partners whose commitment to serving students continues to make Southern Nazarene University a place where students feel welcomed, supported, and prepared for success.”
