"I’ve felt like this program helped me be ready to excel in this helping profession, not just join it. The experience at SNU was so personal I never felt like a number or a file. The professors care so much about the students. It’s truly a great environment. I feel confident as a clinician and am always excited to keep learning and growing. Thank you again for accepting me into the program, it’s forever changed my life in a positive way."

"Thank you all for the education, guidance, and work the GPC helped me do within myself while in the program. It truly gives me a 'secure base' from which to work from. When I am in that moment where I find I do not know what to do next, I lean into [my client’s] suffering, rather than away and am not afraid of what I find there. Instead, I am often humbled by and changed by it."

"The Graduate Programs in Counseling at SNU focuses on ensuring that upcoming clinicians address their own personal traumas, biases, and limitations. It encourages you to not only evolve as a clinician, but also to evolve as a person. My favorite quote from a professor in the program was, 'Great therapists have a therapist.' This program prepares individuals for licensure. I am so grateful for the environment that the GPC promotes."
