Melissa Lewis is a proud graduate of Southern Nazarene University (‘93) and has completed 22 years of service at her alma mater. Following the completion of her B.S. in Viola and Piano Performance, she completed a Master’s and Doctorate from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in Viola Performance. After teaching 19 years in the School of Music, Melissa began a new position in fall 2018 as the General Education director for Professional Studies programs at S.N.U. and loves serving adult learners. Continuing a lifelong goal of being a “perpetual student,” Melissa began work on her Ed.D. in Education and Administrative Leadership from S.N.U. in March, 2019 and has focused her research on the use of social power in adult educational environments.
Melissa has been married to Chuck for 18 years and is the proud mother of Natalie, who shares her mom’s love of music and baking.
