Dr. Shelley Groves

Biography
Dr. Shelley Groves became the Vice-President of Academic Affairs for the College of Undergraduate Studies in July of 2026. She has previously served in Christian higher education since 2005. As a faculty member, Dr. Groves taught English courses in both writing and literature. Two of her favorite authors are C. S. Lewis and Jane Austen. She also taught courses in teacher preparation programs. In her time as a faculty member, she enjoyed leading students on educational travel experiences throughout the United States and parts of Europe. Groves has also served in administrative roles at other Christian institutions. Before her work in higher education, Dr. Groves was in both faculty and administration roles in private and public K-12 schools in Oklahoma and Texas for ten years. She and her husband also served as Christian Education Directors at The Bridge Assembly of God. She and her husband are actively involved in their home church in Mustang, Oklahoma where they own McNeil’s Funeral Service. My husband and I enjoy being parents to two grown daughters and a wonderful son-in-
law. We are especially delighted to be brand new grandparents to a perfect little boy named Jack. I am honored to serve SNU and look forward to being a part of this vibrant Christian community.
