“Becoming” Provides High School Females Opportunities to Connect and Grow
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
[Bethany, OK] – Southern Nazarene University (SNU) is set to host its 6th annual Becoming event, a one-day conference designed specifically for high school girls in their junior and senior years. The event will take place on Friday, January 23, beginning at 1 p.m. in the Bud Robinson Room of the A.M. Hills Residential Complex and concluding at 6 p.m., offering attendees an afternoon of connection, creativity, and encouragement.
Established in 2021, Becoming provides an opportunity for students to “...define, discover, chase down, and live out our God-given purpose.” Maggie Cook, Event Coordinator for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, outlines the event, saying, “At Becoming, you can expect to meet new people, hear from speakers who are walking in the Spirit, explore a new creative outlet, drink good coffee, and take part in lots of great photo ops.” The conference is intentionally designed to foster meaningful relationships while encouraging personal and spiritual growth.
Southern Nazarene University will welcome 50 students to this year’s Becoming conference, where participants will “...experience the heart of SNU and get a glimpse of the community.” Cook adds, “Becoming is energetic, carefully curated, and a welcoming space for all. We are excited to welcome these girls to campus.” Through engaging sessions and a supportive environment, students are invited to experience the unique sense of community that defines SNU.
