SNU Welcomes Putnam City Juniors for College Exploration Day

[Bethany, OK] – Southern Nazarene University will host its fourth annual Putnam City College Exploration Day on February 5, 2026. The one-day event will be held on the SNU campus in Bethany, Oklahoma.

The Putnam City College Exploration Day is intentionally designed for Putnam City students in their junior year of high school. Working closely in tandem with guidance counselors from Putnam City Schools, SNU has planned a full day of programming aimed at educating attendees on the details of enrolling in and attending college, as well as how they can begin the process.

During the event, students will have the opportunity to hear from their high school counselor on options for financial aid, attend student panels, take a guided campus tour of SNU, and participate in a college fair where they can ask questions and meet with SNU staff members. Attendees will also be provided lunch courtesy of SNU and the Putnam City Schools Foundation.

Maggie Cook, Event Coordinator for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, says, “This event is a great opportunity for students to visit SNU's campus and learn about everything our school has to offer. The day is intentionally packed full of valuable information designed to help students prepare for college successfully.”

Students interested in attending the Putnam City College Exploration Day are encouraged to register by notifying their high school counselor of their interest. The event will begin February 5, 2026 at 9 a.m. Main proceedings will take place in the Sawyer Center, on the Bethany, Oklahoma campus of Southern Nazarene University.
