April's guest speaker is Ms. Lauren Plute, Director of Development at Say Hello.
April Topic: Hello Across Cultures: Building Understanding, Creating Opportunities
Lauren Plute describes herself as a creative, beautiful mess. God has given her a love for people, an eye for design, and a passion for helping Christians move from places of fear and hate into God’s heart of love and compassion.
Lauren, her husband, and three talented kids lived in a majority Muslim country for 7 years before joining the Say Hello team. Together they loved exploring the urban, eastern culture where they lived, and they treasured the Muslim neighbors God gave them. During that season, they were also honored to help plant their organization’s first church in that nation.
Lauren works hard to make sure that the resources Say Hello produces are beautifully engaging and easy to understand. She jumps at the chance to speak publicly and help Christian women know how they, too, can bless their Muslim neighbors. Lauren believes that while “Say Hello” is an evangelism-focused ministry, she champions discipleship that draws Christian women into greater Christ-likeness while walking Muslim friends toward Jesus.
