Science Scholars Reception (Invitation Only) is Friday, November 6, 2026.
The STEM Division invites prospective students who are high school juniors or seniors to participate in Science Scholars Interviews. Selected students will receive an invitation to schedule a zoom interview with the science team. Following the interviews, students will be chosen to receive the scholarship will attend the reception with faculty. Outstanding participants may win merit scholarships consisting of partial tuition awards of $500 – $2,500 per year ($2,000 – $10,000 total over four years, provided the recipient persists in a major in one of the disciplines in the STEM Division).
Candidates should have a strong interest in majoring in a Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, Math/Science Education or Math field (including pre-med, pre-pharmacy and other pre-health professions) and a GPA of 3.75 or higher OR an ACT Math 21 or SAT Math 530 or higher.
Science Scholars scholarship recipients are asked to remain active and contributing members of the math and science community of SNU through such activities as attending the weekly research symposia (or giving a research presentation when the time is right!), tutoring, participating in science outreach, and of course, fellowshipping with your fellow scholars across the four years.
