SNU Highlights Undergraduate Research with Annual Symposium

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

[BETHANY, OK] - The Office of Undergraduate Research at Southern Nazarene University will host its 20th annual
Undergraduate Research Symposium today, Monday, April 20, from 6-8 p.m. on the first floor of the Parker Fine Arts Center. The symposium provides an opportunity for SNU undergraduate students to showcase research across a variety of disciplines.

Dezzarae Francis, Assistant Director of TRIO McNair Scholars, highlights the importance of the symposium, saying, “The Undergraduate Research Symposium gives our students a platform to share the research they have worked diligently on with the SNU community. Students get the chance to build confidence in sharing their research, and will hopefully see themselves as contributors to scholarly achievement.”

Presentations from sixteen SNU students in both oral and poster formats will be available for viewing beginning at 6 p.m., with a break scheduled from 6:50 to 7:10 p.m. before the second session, which concludes at 8 p.m.

Those with questions can contact Dezzarae Francis, Assistant Director of TRIO McNair Scholars, at  dflynn@mail.snu.edu. The SNU community, partners, and friends are invited to attend.
