SNU Homecoming 2026: Tradition and Transformation

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

[Bethany, Okla.] — From November 5-7, Southern Nazarene University will welcome alumni, students, families, and friends back to campus for Homecoming 2026, a weekend built around the traditions, relationships, and experiences that make SNU feel like home long after graduation.

This year’s celebration offers plenty of opportunities to reconnect with the University and fellow SNU supporters, from athletics and class reunions to performances and special events throughout the weekend.

Crimson Storm fans can cheer on SNU athletics, including Thursday night’s volleyball match against Southeastern Oklahoma State, Friday’s basketball games and Saturday morning’s women’s and men’s rugby matches. Alumni can reconnect at reunion gatherings, luncheons and receptions, while academic open houses beginning at 1:30 p.m. Friday will give visitors an opportunity to see what is happening across campus today.

The weekend will also showcase the creativity and talent of the SNU community. Throughout Homecoming, guests can attend performances of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!, presented by the SNU School of Music. Saturday’s Route 66 Festival will bring a classic car show to Bethany as SNU joins in celebrating 100 years of the iconic highway. The weekend will conclude with The Main Event, an evening of entertainment and awards beginning at 6 p.m. at the Atrium at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene.

Homecoming weekend offers opportunities to celebrate SNU’s past, including the 40th anniversary of Professional Studies, while looking ahead to the University’s bright future. For Todd Brant, Executive Director of Alumni Engagement, that connection between the past and future is what makes the weekend meaningful.

“Homecoming is one of the highlights of my year,” Brant said. “But what makes Homecoming special to me is seeing thousands of alumni and friends come ‘back home’ to reconnect, remember, and be encouraged.”

Brant hopes that spirit of connection extends beyond a single weekend.

“I truly believe Homecoming is missional,” he said. “My hope is that everyone who comes back is reminded of how SNU has been transformational in their life and sees that the same transformation continues in the next generation.”

Homecoming 2026 will begin at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, November 5, and conclude following The Main Event on Saturday, November 7. Alumni, families, students, and friends interested in attending, volunteering, or learning more can visit snu.edu/alumni/homecoming.
