SNU Mortar Board Chapter Earns Five National Awards

[Bethany, Okla.] - The Mortar Board chapter at Southern Nazarene University (SNU) has been recognized with five national awards from the Mortar Board National College Honors Society, which each year honors collegiate chapters across the country for excellence in scholarship, leadership and service.

Among 236 active chapters nationwide, SNU was recognized for its commitment to chapter excellence, inclusive leadership, fundraising and campus community engagement. The chapter received the following honors:

2026 Silver Torch Award - Celebrates chapters that fulfilled all national chapter standards while making a positive impact on their campus community.

2026 Outstanding Achievement Award for Chapter Reactivation - Recognizes chapters that have made significant strides in strengthening chapter health and increasing visibility on campus.

2026 Inclusive Excellence Award - Honors chapters that have demonstrated exceptional efforts to expand inclusion, build community, and foster a sense of belonging.

2026 Project Excellence Award: Excellence in Fundraising

In recognizing SNU with the Inclusive Excellence Award, Mortar Board National College Honors Society wrote:
